June to September — the Ghats on the Expressway receive heavy rain. Travel is still possible but allow extra time. Haji Ali walkway may be inaccessible during high tide. Check before visiting.

For Elephanta Caves and CSMVS Museum, book tickets online in advance. Siddhivinayak has long queues on weekends — visiting on weekdays is much smoother.

Toll plazas on the Mumbai Expressway are largely FASTag-equipped, but keep some cash for parking at Mumbai attractions. Juhu Beach and Gateway of India parking can cost ₹50–₹200.
